We just returned yesterday from a two-night stay at the 3-bedroom
cabin at Wolf Creek Lodge. I honestly don't know where to
begin......the cabin is immaculate! The decor of the cabin is pretty
close to how I would have decorated --and I guarantee that of all the
places I've been to, I can honestly only say that about a couple of
places - honest! You've thought of everything....from the lantern
sitting on the windowsill to the utensils hanging by the back door to
use in the firepit....I could ramble on and on.....and I'm going to!
The bedrooms were decorated so perfectly - the bed skirts and bedspreads
with the backwoods themes....each room had a ceiling fan with a
light.....the unfinished wood furnishings and the wood panels on the
walls added so much! The 4-season room in the back was my favorite!
From the rug on the floor, to the couch that actually matched the colors
in the rug, the lamps and
shades....all complete with 3 walls of windows and matching valances,
all overlooking a wonderful view of the woods! As if all of that wasn't
enough....outside is a patio, complete with a table, chairs, and
umbrella. There was a small bar area above the barbeque, and yet
another covered patio, with ceiling fan, lights, and even more outdoor
furniture!!!!!!!!!!!! There was plenty of outdoor lighting when needed
(and we really did need it, because it was our first visit and we were
unfamiliar with the grounds). And lastly, to top off the outdoor
experience, there's a fire pit close to the patios, with plenty of
firewood and kindling at a very reasonable cost!
Although this was not of your doing (or maybe it was!), the view of
the sky from the firepit, was absolutely unbelievable! I swear, we saw
more stars than we've ever seen in our lives! (And we're not spring
chickens!)
My husband and I want to thank you for thinking of everything a
person could want when comfort and relaxation are on the top of your
vacation list!!! We will definitely be back - please hold Cabin #3 for
us!!!! Thank you so much!

Your town of Shelbyville is very nice. The people are so warm and welcoming...That
made it even more special for us. WE hope to be calling you soon to
